Igbinedion Visits Oshiomhole Over Edo Asembly Crisis

Chief Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) and father of Chief Lucky Igbinedion, former Governor of Edo state on Thursday visited Governor Adams Oshiomhole at the Government House, in Benin; Leadership reported.

The closed door visit lasted for about 35-minutes. Unnamed sources who were present claimed that part of the issues discussed during the visit was the crisis in the Edo state House of Assembly.

However, after the meeting, Chief Igbinedion and Governor Oshiomhole refused to disclose what the meeting was about.

Chief Igbinedion simply said, "He is the governor of Edo State and I have come to see my governor". On his part, Governor Oshiomhole congratulated the PDP chieftain on his forthcoming birthday.
